VTEC germs detected in butter cheese

The Hofkäserei Büttner from Hohenleuben (Thuringia) called back a few weeks ago for "raw milk cheese - butter cheese with tomato and Italian herbs" with batch number 65, packaging unit: 190-200g in foil, with the best before dates 27.11.2018, 06.12.2018, 18.12 .2018 and 25.12.2018 started because verotoxin-forming E.coli germs (VTEC) had been detected in the cheese. Now the manufacturer has expanded the product recall.

Another product contaminated with bacteria

The product recall of butter cheese from the Hofkäserei Büttner due to the detection of health-damaging E.coli from November 9th, 2018 is about the variety "wild garlic with fenugreek" with the batch number 65 and the best before dates November 27th, 2018, December 6th, 2018, December 18th, 2018, December 25th, 2018 expanded, it says in a message that was published on the portal "" of the federal states and the Federal Office of Consumer Protection.

According to the information, the product was sold exclusively through the branches of the agricultural cooperative Weidagrund e.G. Unterreichenau in the districts of Vogtlandkreis (Saxony) and Greiz (Thuringia).
